Frank de Wit, dutch (!), 41, married, visited 925 mines and mineral localities over the past few years in Europe, Morocco, Iceland, Greenland, Japan, USA, Bolivia etc. He likes to travel to remote mineral localities, to enjoy the people, nature, culture, language, food and company there (and... find minerals ;-). He's a mineral hunter with an interest in esthetic and rare minerals (when possible from typelocalities) and curiosities like pseudomorphs, floaters etc... Besides minerals, he likes (in random order): humour, making jam of fruits&berries, philosophy, good food, swimming, old Kopke portwine, mountainclimbing, l'eau de vie, exploration of old mines, sitting in a cafe for hours with a book and a cappuccino, off-piste skiing, pedro ximenez xp napoleon sherry, sleeping in luxurious riad's, hiking and camping in the free nature, driving his motorcycle, his laptop and the internet, flying small aircrafts, Mozart's requiem&The stones&Sinatra, tapas, sushi, and... sleeping in the sun with a view to the Matterhorn, and wonders why Alfredo still wears white socks in his sandals....
