Travelling and buying minerals is addictive and dangerous

You might enjoy it so much that you cannot go back to work anymore. We exclude all responsibility for that... Above that, there is a real danger of being sick while travelling because of eating too much delicious exotic food and/or drinks. We know the best sushi restaurants in Japan. Sorry to push another addiction... In some countries where we travel, getting a nasty tropical disease is as easy as getting a latte at Starbucks though. But so is finding beautiful mineral specimens. Usually... Morocco is one of the safest countries to travel. Really. But always please seek medical advice in advance to check if travel with us is adviceable to your desired country. We have also experienced landslides, avalaunches, volcanic eruptions and other sorts of highly interesting geological phenomena during our travels. Iceland has a wellknown reputation for that. The best thing to do is to watch those from nearby. Unforgettable... However, too nearby can be deadly, so you always have to watch where you walk... We have also witnessed interesting cultural aspects of countries. Like blocking roads for days, setting cars on fire, or throwing sticks of dynamite at "Gringos". Like in Bolivia... Those things are part of normal life in some counties. They're part of exactly the culture that you want to experience. Right? Just, again, don't come too close. Then there is of course the usual bribing involved in exotic travelling. Just think of it as election time in the USA. Bribing is normal. One hand washes the other. And there are always kids somewhere picking your pockets on a local market. Simple solution for that is either not to have pockets, or to put some small coins in your pocket. Look at it as a tip without the drink... It's not always adviced also to wear your new Canon 5D Mark-II around your neck on a local market. Please check your travel insurance in advance. On the other hand: in Japan you can leave your new videocamera and your wallet on the table. And it will still be there when you return from the toilet. Actually: it will still be there one week later. Cleaned and with a ribbon around it. All is relative... But: there is also a realistic danger that finding minerals (underground) is deadly. El Tio (one of many underground deities) might give you minerals, but right after that decide to keep you and the specimens there forever... Remember: dying is never a good reason to get a nice mineral specimen. So, we are there for you to get those from underground or from remote leech infested jungle locations... Disclaimers are usually long and boring. Sorry to bother you... ;) Or, shall we continue? Shall we meet and exchange more interesting stories?

If this disclaimer makes you smile, travelling with us is probably your thing, and not just buying. But, if travelling is not your thing after all, we are happy to offer you our webshop. This might be the healthiest and safest way possible to get what you were looking for ;)
