The flat cavity in the matrix is covered in green needles of cobaltaustinite, on which talmessite crystals grow. The zone
with cobaltaustinite is ca. 2,5 x 1,0 cm large. You can see clearly that the talmessite crystals are zoned. Lapis jan.2002 writes about this zoning. The center of the crystals is
cobalt-poor, where the borders are cobalt-rich talmessite and beta-roselite. For more info, see an article we wrote about this locality here... and see
