Specimens from the Netherlands

Not even many Dutch have these three minerals from Holland in their collection, I bet you not more than 4 people ;) The Allophane are the transparent spheres ; stalactic in one cavity, and in another cavity grown together in the shape of a cobweb :) The Gibbsite is the brown glassy massive mineral and the Halloysite is the white powdery mineral, both are intergrown. For some more info, see Mindat. The minerals were displayed with pictures in "Nijland et al. - De mineralen van Nederland - 2007".
